On Tuesday, a piece of the multibillion-naira Blue Rail Mass Transportation project in Marina, Lagos State, was destroyed by fire.

According to reports, the fire damaged the part that housed the facility’s generator.
There were no fatalities or injuries since the fire was immediately extinguished by firemen from both the federal and state fire stations before it could spread to other areas.

The incident was confirmed by the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin.

“The fire at Marina started from the generator of the Blue Rail Mass Transportation,” he wrote in a text to our correspondent.
