Ojo Akerele, 45, was detained by the Ondo State Police Command in the Idoani village of the state’s Ose Local Government Area for allegedly defiling a 10-year-old girl.
Funmi Odunlami, the state Police Public Relations Officer, said this in an interview with media in Akure, the state capital, on Tuesday.
“A case of defilement was recorded against one Ojo Akerele, 45, and he was later apprehended by security personnel,” she claimed.

The suspect brought the girl, 10, to an unfinished structure where he had carnal knowledge of her after offering her N100.
“The suspect claimed that the girl usually comes with her friend to collect N100 from him daily and that while she was asking for the money he drew her closer and had carnal knowledge of her.”
