Thus far, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Oyo State has announced results from eighteen of the state’s local government areas.
At the time of writing, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate and Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, was leading in seventeen of the LGAs that have been declared.

Teslim Folarin, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, also won an LGA in the state.
