Lagosians React As INEC Declares Sanwo-Olu Winner Of Lagos Guber Election

Babajide Sanwo-Olu has been proclaimed the winner of the Lagos governorship election held over the weekend by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

According to INEC data, Sanwo-Olu, the incumbent governor, received 762,134 votes to defeat Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party, who received 312,329 votes, and Adbul-Azeez Adediran of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who received 62,449 votes.

Remember that the declaration was postponed while INEC officials awaited the results of the Eti-Osa local government elections held on Sunday, March 19.

According to local government results, the APC received 25, 063 votes, the PDP received 1468 votes, and the LP received 19, 967 votes.

Several netizens have expressed mixed feelings about Sanwo-election Olu’s victory, with many appreciating the votes garnered by LP despite the thugs’ attack.
