The Supreme Court has confirmed Chief Edozie Njoku as the All Progressives Grand Alliance’s National Chairperson (APGA).

The Supreme Court issued the ruling on Friday in a decision on an application by Chief Njoku, who sought the regularization of Justice Mary Peter Odili’s modified judgment delivered on May 9, 2022.

Njoku’s request came in response to a letter from the Supreme Court to him on January 19, 2023, in which it addressed him as the National Chairman of APGA and recommended him to contact the Court via a motion to fix the slip.

The unintentional error, which the Supreme Court addressed, has restored Njoku as the true National Chairman of the APGA, who was unlawfully removed by a Jigawa High Court in Suit No: JDU/022/2021 between Alhaji Garba Aliyu and Chief Jude Okeke & 2 Ors.

In a lead decision, Judge Garba Lawal ruled that Chief Edozie Njoku was wrongfully removed from Jigawa without being joined as a party.

Following that, Judge Lawal stated that Njoku’s plea was meritorious and approved it as requested.

In response to the ruling, Chief Njoku requested that the Governor of Anambra State, Charles Soludo, make himself accessible for a roundtable discussion on the party’s future direction.

Njoku, as APGA Chairman, stated that he will do everything in his power to bring stability and harmony to the party.
