Chimaroke Nnamani, the Senator representing Enugu East, has characterized the calls for an Interim National Government (ING) as unnecessary noise.

The former Enugu State Governor requested that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, who won the February 25 election, be sworn in as Nigeria’s next President on May 29, 2023.

Nnamani said this in an Abuja statement, adding that those advocating for an interim national government are committing treason and insulting Nigerians’ sensibilities.

He went on to say that the concept of an interim administration is out of place, and those who advocate for it are enemies of Nigeria.

“Asiwaju will be sworn in on May 29, 2023 and he will hit the ground running,” the Senator submitted.

He expressed hope that Tinubu will not abandon his commitment to the Social Protection, National Transformation, and Restructuring programs.

Nnamani further expressed confidence that a Tinubu-led administration will handle key infrastructure development, young unemployment and youth bulge, women empowerment, and the difficulties confronting the girl-child.

Additional complex challenges he hopes the incoming administration will solve include portable drinking water and environmental sanitation.

According to him, the incoming administration would revitalize international recognition and awareness, attracting other nations to invest in Nigeria and, as a result, turning the country’s economy around.

As a result, he urged Nigerians at all levels to rally behind the next administration so that no segment of the country is neglected or underserved.
