According to Multichoice, the increased examination of DStv and GOtv bundles was brought on by an increase in operating expenses.

New prices for MultiChoice Nigeria’s DStv and GOtv packages have been released.

The new tariff was disclosed in a text message sent to its subscribers and will take effect on May 1, 2023.

The company claimed that the increase in prices for DStv and GOtv bundles was brought on by the increased costs of conducting business.

The text message reads, “Please note that from May 1, your monthly subscription (premium) will be N24,500. To retain your old price of N21,000 for up to 12 months ensure you are active by April 30”.

Pulse believes that as a result of this move, the monthly cost of the Compact Plus bouquet will rise from N14,250 to N16,600.

Compact’s monthly fee would rise from N9,000 to N10,500, while Confam users will now pay N6,200 instead of the previous N5,300.

The DStv Yanga and Padi bouquet subscription fees will increase to N3,500 and N2,500, respectively, from N2,950 and N2,150.

The cost of the Supa package for Gotv subscribers would rise from N5,500 to N6,400, while the cost of GOtv Max will rise from N4,150 to N4,850.

Additionally, the cost of the GOtv Jolli package subscription will go up from N2,800 to N3,300, while the prices for the GOtv Jinja and GOtv Lite packages will go up from N1,900 to N2,250 and from N900 to N1,100, respectively.

This is only a year after the Pay TV company raised the cost of subscriptions.

The corporation stated that the price increases were brought on by the country’s escalating operational expenditures and inflation in March 2022.
