Two of the remaining 98 Chibok schoolgirls have managed to escape from their captors in Borno State’s Sambisa woodland.

Daily Trust was told by sources that the escape came about as a result of extensive military operations in the woodland.

Hauwa Mutah and Esther Markus were the two escapees, according to a security source.

“One is from Chibok and the other one from Dzilang village,” the insider claimed.
As a result, there are now 96 rather than 98 Chibok schoolgirls being held captive.
