As soon as the pre-hearing of the LP petitions contesting the results of the February 25 presidential election began, Kenneth Okonkwo, the national spokesperson for the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council who had been suspended by the party’s Lamidi Apapa-led faction, stormed the Election Petitions Tribunal in Abuja.

The presidential election petition tribunal has reportedly begun hearings, according to news organizations.

Recall that the LP candidate had, in his appeal, accused Bola Tinubu of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in power as well as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of alleged corrupt practices and non-compliance with the Electoral Act 2022 provisions.
