The pre-hearing of the appeal Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate, filed against Bola Tinubu, the President-elect, has been moved by the Presidential Election Tribunal to Thursday.

The former vice president and his party, the PDP, have filed a case in court to have Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 presidential election declared invalid.

In order to favor Tinubu, Atiku charged that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) rigged the election.

Atiku’s attorney, Chris Uche, stated in court on Tuesday that some persons (Tinubu, INEC) wait until 4 am to make announcements.

In response to the tribunal’s clarification that Atiku’s plea will be heard by 2 PM on Thursday rather than 2 AM, Uche (SAN) said thus.

Everyone is aware of some who wait till 2 or 4 am to make pronouncements, according to the Counsel.

On Thursday, the Tribunal will decide whether to grant Atiku’s prior request for a live broadcast of the proceedings.
