Issa Majafara has been apprehended by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly having a police outfit.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s police public relations officer, reported that the suspect was captured by a surveillance patrol team on Tuesday around 6:30 pm on Iyana-Iba Market Road in the Ojo neighborhood of Lagos. According to Hundeyin, the suspect was discovered with two pairs of pants, a camouflage T-shirt, and a police face mask but no definite address.
“During interrogation, the suspect claimed he picked the uniform from the dustbin. “The case is under investigation. The suspect will be arraigned in court soon for impersonation,” he said.

Hundeyin has cautioned members of the public to be wary of suspected criminals who wear police or other security uniforms. He has urged residents to report any impersonators to the police and has reminded them that genuine security personnel have their names printed on their uniform.
He advised residents who are unsure about someone wearing a security uniform, to report it to the nearest police station or patrol team.
