Presidential Tribunal Proceedings: Decision Taken Atiku’s Request For Live Broadcast

The request before the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) for the live broadcast of its proceedings has been postponed until a later date.

After hearing the arguments made by the attorneys for all parties involved in the lawsuit, the five-member panel, which is chaired by Justice Haruna Tsammani, made its verdict on Thursday.

According to Newsmen, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Atiku Abubakar, its presidential candidate for the 2023 election, requested from the tribunal that its proceedings be televised live, claiming that this would increase transparency.

However, the motion has been contested by the attorneys for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the All Progressives Congress (APC), and the President-elect Bola Tinubu, who was the APC candidate in the election.
