Ganduje Prays For A Peaceful Transfer Of Power

Ganduje, the state’s commissioner for information and internal affairs, has reportedly requested clerics to lead special prayers for a peaceful and orderly transfer of power to the incoming government in the state, according to a statement issued on Friday by Muhammad Garba.

The governor also expressed his gratitude to the state’s residents for their support of his government, which made it possible to carry out excellent development initiatives. He emphasized the importance of strengthening the laws that ensure peace in the state through ardent prayers.

Recall that Nasiru Gawuna, a candidate for the All Progressives Congress, lost the Kano State election to Alhaji Abba Yusuf of the New Nigeria People Party. On Monday, Yusuf will be sworn in as the new governor.

On Wednesday, Ganduje presented the 2023 transition report to Yusuf during a brief meeting at the Kano Government House, Ante Chamber Hall. Ganduje, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Usman Alhaji, reiterated his readiness to ensure a seamless transition of power.

Ganduje urged the incoming administration to carefully study the transition report and provide feedback on any areas that need improvement. He also expressed appreciation to the outgoing government transition committee members for producing three volumes of the report, which covers all sectors of the state.
