Presidential Tribunal: Judge Slams Tinubu’s Lawyers For Manipulating Proceedings

During Friday’s sessions, the presidential election petitions tribunal issued a warning to Akin Olujimi, the lawyer for President Bola Tinubu.

The tribunal took notice of Olujimi’s repeated objections that lacked adequate justification.

Olujimi had objected to the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) appointment letter being given to a presiding officer involved in the presidential election on February 25.

He told the court that the specifics would be included in his team’s final statement and refrained from immediately giving the court the justifications for his opposition.

Head of Justice Concern was voiced by Haruna Tsammani with Olujimi’s repeated concerns that went unanswered, a trend that has come to characterize the responses made by those who are supporting the cause.

As it is still unclear whether the objections are directed at the evidence itself or its admissibility, the lead judge stated that such measures could make it difficult for the tribunal to reach decisions.

Attorneys for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, Labour Party (LP), and Peter Obi are well-known for routinely contesting the actions of attorneys for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and INEC.

Both the LP and PDP presidential contenders have leveled complaints against the electoral body independently.

They claimed that Tinubu was given an unfair advantage in the presidential election of 2023, which was held on February 25.
