Nyesom Wike, the immediate former governor of Rivers State, has stated that President Bola Tinubu will not regret appointing him as a minister in his cabinet.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, Wike, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, was included among the first batch of cabinet nominations given to the Nigerian Senate by President Tinubu last week Thursday for approval.

Wike, who appeared before the Senate chamber today for screening, stated that as a Governor, many parliamentarians here would attest to his administration’s successes in Rivers.

The former governor remembers inviting senior politicians and non-politicians to commission Rivers projects.

Wike, who said he was hailed as a hero during his handover ceremony, promised to replicate his breadth of expertise if confirmed.

According to Anaedoonline, after reading his CV, Wike was instructed to ‘take a bow and go’ at the ministry nominee screening inside the Senate chamber on Monday.
