Northern Governors React As Ganduje Emerges APC National Chairman

The appointment of Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the outgoing governor of Kano State, as the new national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has been praised by the Northern States Governors’ Forum.

Remember that at the 12th APC National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, which was held on Thursday at the Congress Hall of the Transcorp Hilton in Abuja, Ganduje was elected as the party’s chairman.

Ganduje’s election, according to a statement released on Thursday by the Forum’s chairman and governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, highlighted the faith and confidence other party leaders and members have in him.

The forum claimed that the former governor of Kano State’s election as APC Chairman is evidence of his extraordinary leadership skills.

He emphasised to Ganduje that his successful term as governor of Kano State indicated his dedication to the well-being of the populace, the growth of the APC, and the development of the country.

The statement reads: “As the newly elected national chairman, you hold a critical position in steering our great party towards a united and prosperous future.

“Your experience and strategic vision will be vital in addressing the challenges ahead and harnessing the collective strength of the APC to bring about positive change for all Nigerians.

“We are confident that under your able guidance, the party will chart a course of progress, inclusivity, and good governance that will resonate with citizens across the country in line with President Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope’ mantra.”

The forum praised the leadership direction and guidance of President Tinubu, which has facilitated the smooth conduct of the caucus and NEC meetings that produced the new helmsmen of the APC.
