Nkem Owoh, a seasoned actor in Nollywood, has spoken out about the death of his daughter Kosisochukwu, 24, after a period of silence.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, the actor was criticised in July for leaving his family behind, which is thought to be what caused his daughter’s death.

In a video posted to social media, a man said the actor had been cruel to his family and had neglected his duties as the head of the home.

The actor was accused of putting his career ahead of his family by the individual who claimed to be related to the actor’s wife.

He claimed that the late actor’s deceased daughter Kosisochukwu had repeatedly pleaded with her father to pay for her medical care overseas before she passed away from liver cancer. He continued to do nothing, and she eventually lost the fight.

Nkem Owoh thanked everyone for their love and support during this difficult time in a statement on his Instagram page.

Nothing, according to the movie actress, is more comforting through a catastrophe than realising that one is not alone.

Nkem continued, “My daughter’s passing is a change I didn’t expect, and I feel a deep sense of loss.”

But with the support he has been getting, he will get through the trying period.

“It was with deep gratitude that I received your note, and calls with condolences. We have seen many changes over the years. But this is a change I did not anticipate and I am feeling an acute sense of loss.

“However, I know that because of your encouragement, I will get through this time. Thank you for helping to push me through my grief.”
