Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso’s campaign for president of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has criticised Abdullahi Ganduje, national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), over his recent remarks.

According to a previous article from Anaedoonline.ng, Ganduje made fun of Kwankwaso for being passed over for the position of Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), claiming that President Bola Tinubu was astute enough to recognise his desperation.

According to Ganduje, Kwankwaso backed the divisive demolition of buildings in Kano that had been permitted by his administration under the pretence of sanitising the city’s master plan.

When some of his devoted followers and party supporters from Kano State paid him a courtesy visit at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja on Monday, the former governor of Kano talked to them in Hausa.

Ladipo Johnson, a representative for the NNPP Presidential Campaign Council, claimed that Ganduje is only trying to be relevant in a conversation with The Punch.

According to Johnson, Ganduje is unimportant and won’t waste Kwankwaso’s time because he doesn’t matter.

He said: “Does anyone really still listen to what Ganduje says? The fact that he is the APC national chairman doesn’t mean that he is a rational human being. That is all I have to say.

“We are not going to waste our time on somebody who is inconsequential, no matter what the APC thinks they are doing. It is as simple as that.”
