PDP Has No Right To Discipline Me For Being In Tinubu’s Govt – Wike

Nyesom Wike, minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has declared that he is still a PDP supporter despite serving in Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s APC administration.

When questioned if he was still a member of the opposition party on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday, Wike responded as follows.

The ‘Party’ is only a vehicle. I participated in Tinubu’s election campaigning, and I am not here to party. Wike stated, “I am here to assist President Tinubu in implementing his renewed hope agenda.

He added that he does not regret his choice and that no PDP member has the authority to punish him for engaging in anti-party actions.

Wike said he should instead discipline the PDP for going against the rotation agreement in the PDP’s constitution.
