President Bola Tinubu’s spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, asserted that his boss is unconcerned about the potential outcome of the presidential election tribunal.

This was said by Ngelale during a Channels Television interview on Monday.

He claims that Tinubu does not see the need to threaten judges in relation to the election petition.

The tribunal has set a deadline of September 6 for it to rule on the petitions contesting Tinubu’s election victory on February 25.

The Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) all challenged the outcome.

According to Ngelale, Tinubu is confident that the panel will provide a decision based on the evidence provided.

“Unlike some political gladiators in the country, the President sees no need to threaten judicial officers,” he said.

“He sees no need to raise speculations against the integrity of judicial officers. He believes in the sanctity and integrity of the Nigerian judicial system.

“As a result of his confidence and faith in the judiciary, he believes that the mandate which Nigerians freely gave to him during the elections would stand. That is the position of the President.
