The Nnewi Central Vigilante Commander, Mr. Michael Muorah-Iguegbu, popularly known as GOC Ugbana has reacted on the security power crisis that has taken over the social media space in Nnewi and environs.
In a trending short video seen by Anaedoonline.ng, the Nnewi Central Vigilante Commander reveals the crisis rocking the Nnewi Central Vigilante formation.
Mr Ugbana poured encomium on Senator Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial Constituency for his devotion and contribution in making securing of lives and properties in Nnewi a reality.

His words; “God through Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah (Ebubechukwu Uzo) came to the rescue of Ndi Nnewi who has face different security challenges ranging from, Kidnapping, Killings and other vices by empowering Nnewi Security through procurement of vehicles, motorcycles and many gadgets needed to provide adequate security for the people of Nnewi and environs. I have so much love and respect for him. We thank him for his love for Nnewi and Ndi Nnewi.
However, Ugbana went on to reveal how the Nnewi Central Vigilante crisis started which he said is under his full control and there’s no squabble between him and other community commanders.
His words; “The Nnewi Central Vigilante crisis started the moment these three persons joined the security management team, Hon. Melie Onyejepu, , Anyanwu Igbo. These people came and developed their own personal interest in the success of security in Nnewi. It now happens that anytime my boss gives me order and they give me order, i always tell them it’s the order my boss gave me that i will do. They will constantly put pressure on me to go against my boss order (Nnewi PG, Dr. Mmaduka Atueyi) which i always reject. My refusal to bow to their demand resulted to a fight between me and them which forced me to start avoiding them.

“It got to a point My boss, Nnewi President-general told me it is only Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah who has right to give me order, which that the Senator calls me direct and asked me for some help which i always deliver for him. But if Melie calls me, i always tell him to call the PG who has the power to give me order on what to do and nothing more.
“For people who don’t know what is happening, Nnewi security is very much intact and i still remain the commander, I am known as Ugbana, Nnewi Security is nobody’s personal business and we will see to the last of this present crisis. This three person’s i called want to hijack the Nnewi Central Vigilante for their personal interest, I am still in-charge of Nnewi security, we’re not two. Thank you, Ndi Nnewi.
Recall that the Soludo-led Anambra State Government handed over the security architecture of Nnewi (Nnewi Central Vigilante) to Igwe Nnewi, Igwe Kenneth Orizu IV (OON) and the Nzuko Ora.

The Anambra State Government through the commissioner of Local Government and Community Affairs, Hon. Anthony Collins Nwabunwanne revealed that according to the law, that Igwe Nnewi is the Chief Security Officer while the Nnewi President-general is the secretary and hence should be in-charge of the Nnewi Security Architecture.
In his words; “The government of Anambra State led by the Governor, His excellency, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo wish to commend and salute individuals who has through their means donated or supported the initiative of securing Anambra State in their different community either by donating Walkie-talkie, Vehicles and other items to the security team.
“By law, the government of Anambra State recognise Igwe Nnewi as the Chief Security Officer of Nnewi and the President-general as the Secretary. We don’t have two Nnewi Central Vigilante security outfit.
