Car Wash Attendant Detained For Stealing Customer’s Car 3 Days After Employment

Issa Muhammed, a car wash employee who was given a 2012 Toyota Camry to clean in Isheri, Lagos, has been detained by members of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS).

According to Benjamin Hundeyin, spokesman for Lagos State Command, the 22-year-old was detained on September 9, 2023, at Agege where he had parked the car to meet with a customer.

According to preliminary inquiries, the owner gave the suspect the car three hours earlier in anticipation of a family outing later that day.

Three days prior to the event, the suspect, who had worked at the car wash, had taken the number plate off the car.

Also, he discarded all identities linking the car to its owner immediately after he arrived Agege.

Meanwhile, the CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi-led RRS will be charging the matter to court immediately investigation is concluded.
