The late musician and songwriter Ilerioluwa Aloba, better known by his stage name Mohbad, had his body exhumed, according to the Lagos State Police Command.

Earlier, Anaedoonline.ng stated that on Thursday, the Police and a few health authorities started exhuming Mohbad’s body.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the public relations officer for the Lagos State Police, verified the exhumation to Daily Trust over the phone.

Later, he used X to post: “Exhumation finished. Starting the autopsy. Justice for Mohad and Mohbad is in demand.

However, a video taken near the location of the late singer’s burial has surfaced online, eliciting a range of responses.

Recall that the 27-year-old artist passed away on September 12, 2023, and was buried the following day in Ikorodu, Lagos State.

The singer’s passing sparked widespread outrage, with some blaming his former boss Naira Marley and music promoter Sam Larry for the singer’s demise.

Due to this, many Nigerians have come to the streets in Lagos, Ogun, and other parts of the nation to demand justice and to urge the police to find his perpetrators.

After Mohbad passed away, the acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, requested a forensic examination to determine the cause of death.

Idowu Owohunwa, the commissioner of police in Lagos State, created a ten-person team, including a pathologist, in response to the IGP’s order to exhume and investigate Mohbad’s death.
