Liam Aloba, the son of the late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, and his parents have received N5 million in support from Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, Chairman of the Lagos State Parks Management Committee and recently reinstated member of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Lagos State Council.
Last Tuesday, Mohbad, who was 27 years old, passed away. He had previously been signed to Naira Marley’s Marlian Record, but he left the company in February 2022.
The screenshot of the debit alerts appeared on social media, and The Nation obtained confirmation from one of his assistants, Jimoh Buhari.

The notifications indicated transfers of N3 million to Liam Eyinimofeoluwa Aloba, Mohbad’s son; N1 million to Joseph Oluwabamiwo Aloba, the deceased father; and another N1 million to Abosede Adeola Olumiyi, the deceased mother.
Buhari claimed it was one of Akinsanya’s methods of helping people in need although he was unsure of how the “silent gesture” ended up on social media.
Akinsanya, who had just returned to the NURTW from the Lagos State Parks and Garages (LASPG), didn’t want to make a fuss over the donation, according to Buhari.

“The late Mohbad had struggled to get to where he was. Death took him at a point where he was about enjoying years of his hard labour. It is painful, but we can’t query God,” he said.
The transport chief for Lagos State expressed sympathy to Aloba’s immediate family, close friends, and the music business, according to MC Oluomo’s aide.
