The Kano State chapter of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) stated on Thursday that Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the party’s presidential candidate, has been verbally attacked as a result of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the APC’s national chairman, losing the last election.
In response to a recent media onslaught on Ganduje’s former employer, the party made this statement.
“The pain inflicted by Kwankwaso on his political godson that culminated in losing his ward in a competitive election was indeed elixir for the attack,” claimed Hasimu Dungurawa, the party’s state chairman.

Dungurawa argued that Kwankwaso’s political generosity made Ganduje into the man he is today.
Ganduje was forewarned to remember Kwankwaso is his political master.
He said, “The attack was a wrong message in Nigeria’s political space against the backdrop that available records indicated that Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje is what he is today due largely to Kwankwaso’s large heart and political magnanimity.
“If Ganduje has forgotten, he is talking to his political master who you served as Deputy Governor for 8 years and the same Kwankwaso that made him representative at Lake Chad Commission, Personal Secretary when he was Minister of Defense.

“The same Kwankwaso after ensuring that he kept Ganduje closely, and against all odds installed him as successor in 2015 after serving out as governor for a second term.
“Ganduje has not won elections on his own from 1999 to date, and the last General elections where he lost home and away reinforces this position.”
