Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje challenged the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, to hold a rally in the state to gauge his popularity on Monday.

Ganduje was referring on the massive turnout at the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential rally for Bola Tinubu earlier in the day in the state.

According to the Governor, many of Kwankwaso’s supporters have defected to the APC.

“So, if Kwankwaso thinks that he can win the party, let him hold a march like this and compare what will happen if he can do so,” Ganduje said on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Monday evening.

Ganduje also questioned Ibrahim Shekarau’s political relevance, noting that he was switching parties and losing a big number of his supporters in the process.

The Governor believes that Shekarau has lost the majority of his supporters in the All Progressives Congress, the NNPP, and that no one knows what the former Governor will do next.
