Ganfeng Lithium Industry Limited Nigeria, a Chinese company operating in Nasarawa State, has raised concerns over an impersonating entity that is allegedly posing a threat to its corporate identity in the country. The company is now calling on the Nigerian federal government to investigate the activities of the entity, which operates under the name ‘Ganfen Lithium Group Co Ltd.’

In a statement signed by Andrew Kekunkun, Chief of Ganfen staff in Nasarawa, the company claimed that the impersonating entity, using its corporate name, has been engaging in illegal activities in Nigeria that have no bearing on its operations.

The statement clarified that Ganfeng Lithium Industry Limited, Nigeria, is a legally registered independent limited company in Nigeria, in compliance with Nigerian laws. Its business scope encompasses lithium ore exploration, extraction, laboratory analysis, processing, and the sale of lithium carbonate.

It stressed that the company has never relied on or utilized any resources or influence from Ganfeng Lithium Group Co., Ltd. to develop or engage in business activities in Nigeria.
