Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP), declared that the opposition movement would not disintegrate in the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold President Bola Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 elections.

Obi stated that the youth would be strengthened and developed during a news conference on Monday to discuss the Supreme Court’s stance on the elections.

He continued by saying that even though the Labour Party, he, and his running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, are no longer in court, the fight to improve Nigeria goes on.

“The future is dynamic. Our focus now is to ensure that we do the right thing for the benefit of Nigeria.”

The term “obidient” was coined to characterise the followers of Peter Obi, the LP flagbearer.

Obi claimed, as previously reported by Anaedoonline.ng, that the Supreme Court was being trivially dismissive of President Bola Tinubu’s charges of identity theft and forgery.

This assertion was made by the LP flagbearer on Monday in Abuja during a global press conference.
