The Lagos State Magistrates’ Court in Yaba has placed 37-year-old Fisayo Ogedengbe, an auxiliary nurse, under arrest by the police in relation to the death of popular musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad.

There are rumours that the late singer died as a result of shots given by the nurse.

Ayobani Sadiq, a friend of Mohbad’s who is also being detained as a suspect in the case, was also ordered to be returned to police custody by the magistrate, Adeola Olatunbosun.

Nonetheless, the magistrate granted N20 million in bail to Mohbad’s former boss, Azeez Fashola, well known as Naira Marley, and a Lagos socialite, Balogun Eletu, better known as Sam Larry. Both individuals were also charged with Mohbad’s murder and brought into prison by the police on October 6.

“Also, one of the sureties must own a landed property. As part of the bail conditions, the defendants are to surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department.”

Olatunbosun also warned that no one should contact her directly on the case.

“Any attempts to contact me directly would be recorded and potentially disclosed in open court proceedings,” she added.

Olatunbosun postponed the case to November 29 in order to get advice from the DPP since, according to the police, the investigation into the issue is still ongoing.
