Imo Decides: Voting Ends, Sorting, Counting Commence

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has begun sorting and counting votes in Imo State’s governorship election on Saturday.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, most polling locations in the state’s Ehime Mbano council area closed at around 4.30 p.m.

Sorting and counting of votes began at 4.50 p.m. at Umunumo Town School 08, Central School Umueze I (010), and Central School Umueze II (011).

INEC Issues Strong Warning: No Vote Counting in Violent Polling Units

According to Anaedoonline.ng, barely 200 people were accredited to vote out of nearly 700 registered voters in Central School Ogboama (09), Umuezeala village, in Ehime Mbano LGA, indicating voter indifference.

Accreditation of voters and voting began concurrently at 08:30 a.m. in most polling places witnessed by Newsmen on Saturday.

This came when INEC personnel arrived at voting stations carrying sensitive and non-sensitive materials.
