Nigeria’s Minister of State for Environment and Ecological Management, Kunle Salako, has advised young people to put serving their country before making demands.

At the Ayetoro-Yewa Day celebration on Sunday in Ayetoro, Yewa North LG, Ogun State, Salako said these things.

Salako, an Ayetoro native, said that young people in Nigeria ought to actively participate in nation-building by faithfully serving their country wherever they may be.

He says that young people should only expect the country to serve them after they have served Nigeria.

Salako likened this idea to a farmer who needs to plant and cultivate in order to produce a harvest.

He pushed the young people to realise that in order for their country to return the favour, they must first serve it.

“My advice, especially to the younger ones, is to prioritize serving our land before making demands of Nigeria. If you serve your land, your land will serve you,” he stated.

He promised Ogun that the Federal Government, particularly the Federal Ministry of Environment, would give him first priority.
