Appeal Court Upholds Uba Sani’s Victory in Kaduna , Francis Nwifuru’s Election in Ebonyi

The election of Uba Sani as the legitimately elected governor of Kaduna State has been affirmed by the Appeal Court’s Abuja Division.

This comes after Governor Sani’s election victory was previously declared void by the Kaduna State governorship election petition tribunal.

Isah Ashiru, the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate for governor, started the legal action by contesting Sani’s victory in court.

But the ruling from the Appeal Court on Friday upholds the validity of Governor Sani’s election.

Francis Nwifuru’s election as the governor of Ebonyi State has also been upheld by a different division of the Court of Appeal in Lagos in a related matter.

On Friday, the three-member panel rendered its decision, firmly establishing Nwifuru as the legitimately elected head of Ebonyi State.

These court decisions represent significant changes in the political environment by giving the election results in the states of Kaduna and Ebonyi State legal support and clarification.
