Oladips Was Dead For Three Days Before Coming Back To Life

Opeyemi Abdulrasheed, The personal assistant of Nigerian rapper Oladipupo Oladimeji, better known by his stage name Oladips, has disclosed that the rapper, who was recently pronounced dead by his management, was indeed clinically dead for three days before coming back to life.

On November 14, rumours circulated that the “Chache” singer had died following a protracted two-year illness.

“We are saddened to inform the general public that Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji, aka Oladips, passed away yesterday, November 14, Tuesday evening, at exactly 10:14 p.m. We are still in shock as we speak!

“For over two years, he has kept his battles within himself; his body is now with his family. The family asked that we respect their privacy in this trying time. May God give us all the fortitude to bear this great loss. (amen),” read a statement from his management.

Abdulrasheed gave Tope Alabi of PUNCH Online an exclusive interview in which he divulged further information regarding the management of the rapper’s record label, Dipsciples Music.

He disclosed that Oladips had been resurrected miraculously after being thought to be dead for three days.

He said, “I don’t know how to say this. It was a misinterpretation with the manager who has access to Oladips’ page. We all thought he was dead because he was not breathing until the third day, when he was revived. By then, the manager had already shared the story.

“Even I could not reach him until the third day.”

When asked where the rapper had been spending the last three days, Abdulrasheed said, “He was with his family.”

Additionally, Abdulrasheed disclosed that the manager—whose identity he withheld—was subsequently fired by the music group.

“You are speaking with the right person in the label. The manager who shared the story has since been sacked. Oladips will soon address everyone on the issue,” Abdulrasheed added.

Following his departure from LRR/Edge Records in 2019, Oladips founded his record label, Dipsciples Music, which is owned by Nigerian rapper Remilekun Safaru, also known as Reminisce.
