Reactions have been sparked by a remark made by Nigerian Afrobeat artist David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, regarding the country’s delegation to the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) in Dubai.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, this happened after a number of Nigerians questioned President Bola Tinubu’s government about Toke Makinwa’s presence on the list of Nigerian delegates to the convention.

Similar to this, there has been online indignation about the too large list of delegates, with Nigeria having the third-highest number of participants (1,411) among the more than 120 countries.

Davido wrote on X that the continuous discussion around COP28 made it very unusual for someone to be unable to share images of themselves in Dubai.
