Tinubu’s Administration Inflicts Pain on Nigerian – Tanko Yunusa

Dr. Yunusa Tanko, the principal spokesperson for the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council (LP-PCC), has attacked the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, claiming that its actions since taking office in May have put Nigerians in difficulty.

In a recent interview with the Nigerian Tribune, Tanko revealed this information and claimed that since Tinubu took office, Nigerians have not been doing well.

He voiced worry over the government’s apparent lack of genuine leadership values, saying it appears to reign with impunity and contempt for the governance of the people.

He claimed that the people are suffering as a result of the administration’s activities and he attacked the idea that power has an undue influence over institutions like the judiciary and INEC.

Tanko underlined how crucial it is that these organisations continue to answer to the public and not to the elected officials.

The chief spokesperson stated, “I don’t think they do. What we have seen them do is to rule the country with so much impunity as they believe they now have the power and can do whatever they like.

“And this is exactly telling of the way they are running the government, which is bringing pain to the people. And this greatly negates the principles of leadership,” he emphasized.

“So it seems to me like they don’t even understand the word ‘Governance’. They feel that as long as you can buy out your way, you can use force to do anything.

“Unfortunately for Nigerians, our judiciary has been bought over. The INEC has also been bought over. The only institution we can see now is the military. Most of these institutions do not know that they are responsible to the people and not the government officeholders, he disclosed.
