Musa Nuhu, the Director General of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), has been placed on suspension by President Bola Tinubu.
Ajuri Ngelale, the presidential spokesman, announced this in an Abuja statement on Wednesday.
According to him, Nuhu was placed on suspension to allow the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to fully investigate his actions as the head of the authority.
According to the presidential spokesman, the probe would also look at the actions of other senior agency officials.

Ngelale said that Capt. Chris Najomo will take over as the NCAA’s acting director general right away.
He said: “Director-General of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Capt. Musa Shuaibu Nuhu has been suspended from office to enable the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to conduct an unfettered investigation into the activities of the suspended director-general and other senior officials in the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority.
“Chris Najomo assumes office as the Acting Director-General of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority immediately.”
