Chief Dr. Jacobson Nbina has resigned from his position in Rivers State as Commissioner of Transportation.
He leaves the state executive council as the ninth commissioner to do so.
Dr. George-Kelly Alabo, the commissioner of works, and Mrs. Inime Chinwenwo-Aguma, the commissioner of social welfare and rehabilitation, submitted their resignation papers on Thursday.
Gift Worlu, the State Commissioner for Housing, also tendered his resignation.

The commissioners, who tendered their resignation so far:
Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Prof. Zacchaeus Adangor (SAN).
Commissioner for Works, Dr Des George-Kelly
Commissioner for Special Duties, Emeka Woke.
Commissioner for Social Welfare and Rehabilitation, Mrs Inime Aguma.
Commissioner for Finance, Isaac Kamalu.
Commissioner for Education, Prof. Chinedu Mmom.
Commissioner for Housing, Dr Gift Worlu.
Rivers State Commissioner of Justice and Attorney-General Resigns
Through the Secretary to the State Government, they wrote letters dated December 14 to Siminalayi Fubara, the state governor.
The majority of the commissioners who are quitting are ardent supporters of Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
