Bola Tinubu’s claim that the horrific Kaduna explosion was an act of God has been contested by Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the general elections in 2023.

Recall that the Nigerian Armed Forces conducted a drone strike on Tudun Biri, Kaduna, on December 3, 2023. The soldiers accidentally struck a village while pursuing what they believed to be a band of bandits, killing at least 85 civilians.

When Tinubu visited Maiduguri, the capital of Borno, to offer his condolences, he called the military drone assault on Tundun Biri, in Kaduna State’s Igabi Local Government Area, Northwest Nigeria, an act of God.

Nevertheless, Obi refuted Tinubu’s assertion during a discussion facilitated by Parallel Facts on X (formerly known as Twitter).

He stated, “Killing 85 civilians is not an act of God.” This statement was in direct opposition to Tinubu’s earlier comments.

In addition, Obi offered his sympathies to the bombing victims and pleaded on Nigerians to set politics aside in order to support the victims of the massacre.
