These issues stem from reduced power generation due to gas constraints affecting thermal generating companies in Anambra and other areas.

This drop in generation has resulted in a decrease in the daily megawatt hour (MWH) of energy allocated to distribution companies nationwide. Consequently, the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), EEDC’s primary power source, has implemented system load-shedding to prevent system collapse.
