Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential contender for 2023, visited Nabeeha’s family to offer his condolences after she was abducted and killed by her captors.
Remember that Nabeeha, her five sisters, and their father were taken hostage by robbers from their home in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)’s Bwari Area Council? Sadly, Nabeeba was murdered by the abductors, who are alleged to have demanded a ransom of N60 million in exchange for their release.
Speaking in a video clip that @Aishayesufu posted on Twitter, Peter Obi expressed empathy for the family and said the government must do everything within its ability to stop the daily crimes that occur in the nation.

“We need to sacrifice everything possible to see that this criminality is contained. Can you imagine what it means for a father to lose a young lady? Just imagine the trauma. So, for me, we should do everything possible to ensure that this is contained and stopped.
“The government should sit up. In fact, I don’t even know where to start because this is happening every day. Traditional rules are being kidnapped and killed, and it’s happening everywhere. We’re a country, and we can’t allow it to be taken over by criminality,” Peter Obi said.
