Tantita Security Services Nigeria Ltd. (TSSNL) has received recognition from Northern Youths Progressive Network for its important contribution to protecting the country’s oil and gas resources in the Niger Delta Region.

The Northern Youths Progressive Network, through its convener, Bala Mohammed, released a statement expressing the group’s happiness with the recent progress made in the fight against oil theft in the area.

The statement emphasised the fruitful cooperative operations carried out by the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and the TSSNL branch in Ondo State. A significant amount of stolen crude oil was destroyed and criminal activity was stopped as a result of the operations.

The organisation also praised TSSNL for its involvement in recent seizures and arrests, which included the capture of ships engaged in illicit oil activities in January and February of 2024.

“Tantita has demonstrated its capability in securing our national assets in the oil and gas sector, thereby boosting the nation’s economy through enhanced oil revenue,” the statement continued.

The Federal Government should prosecute economic saboteurs who harm national resources in order to demonstrate true political will in supporting TSSNL’s efforts, according to the Northern Youths Progressive Network.

“We urge other security agencies operating in the oil-rich region to follow suit and work towards making Nigeria a safe environment for businesses to thrive,” the statement concluded.
