In preparation for the general elections in Rivers State in 2023, members of the Peoples Democratic Party’s Presidential Campaign Council, including Uche Secondus, a former national chairman of the party, have endorsed both Governor Siminalayi Fubara and President Bola Tinubu.
The statement was made on Thursday at a news conference in Port Harcourt by Dr. Abiye Sekibo, the Director-General of PDP-PCC Rivers State and a former Minister of Transportation.

Among those in attendance at the briefing were Secondus, Austin Opara, Celestine Omehia, Tele Ikuru, the former deputy governor of the state, Senator Lee Maeba, and Dr. Gabriel Pidomson, the former secretary of the Rivers State government.
In the most recent elections, the council endorsed Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s nominee for president in 2023.
