Nigerians have been advised by well-known socialite Pascal Okechukwu, also known as Cubana Chief Priest, not to elude the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, or EFCC.
He clarified that anti-graft agency agents merely “investigate and prosecute,” not abusing suspects.
He said that no matter where they hid, the EFCC would always find people who reject invitations or flee from police.
The socialite complimented the agency for its hospitality, emphasising that they provide three-square meals within their cell.
Cubana Chief Priest Granted N10m Bail in Naira Abuse Trial
On his Instagram page, Cubana Chief Priest wrote: “The Eagle will always fly so high to catch you wherever you hide.
“No need to run when @officialefcc invites you, just pull up and answer them, they don’t bite, they don’t beat, they only investigate and prosecute. For their cell, toilet & bathroom dey, even breakfast, lunch & dinner is served so tell me why are you running.”
According to Anaedoonline.ng, the EFCC recently filed an arraignment against Cubana Chief Priest before Justice Kehinde Ogundare at the Federal High Court, Lagos, on three counts that included allegations of Naira abuse.
Nevertheless, after entering a not guilty plea, he was given bail of N10 million with two sureties in the same amount.
