OBOSI CULT ACTIVITIES WILL SOON COME TO AN END, ANAMBRA GOVT ASSURES

State Government has assured the people of Obosi that all violence and cult activities will soon come to an end while lasting peace would be restored to the Community within the next one week.

Governor Willie Obiano gave the assurance during his Thank You Tour to Obosi Community.

During the event differences between Mr. Omezie Chukwurah, popularly called Governor Obosi and the Traditional Ruler of Obosi, Eze Chidubem Iweka were resolved at the Afor Adike Stadium, Obosi.

According to Governor Obiano, cult activities is not peculiar to Obosi, and as such, information gathering will be intensified in the coming days, as plans are on to raid the hide out of criminals and
violence perpetrators.

The Governor reminded them that the last major erosion control project in Obosi has gulped about two point three billion naira, assuring that he will do more interventions within the remaining years of his administration.

Responding the Traditional Ruler of Obosi, Eze Iweka who said that peace and unity are important for progress to thrive, accepted apologies tendered by Mr. Omezie Chukwurah who revealed that more than sixty people had been killed in the area, urging youths to stop all cult activities in the Community.

Stakeholders in the area including the member representing Idemili North, in the state House of Assembly Mrs. Nkoli Mmegbuanaeze, former Defence Minister, Engineer Dan Chuke, Provost of College of Health Technology, Obosi, Dr Amaechi Mgbakogu, among others rooted for the party which they described as people and development oriented.

Projects in Obosi were earlier highlighted by the Commissioner for Works, Mr Marcel Ifejiofor, represented by the Managing Director of Anambra State Road Maintainace Agency ARMA Mr. Emeka Okoye which he said, makes it imperative for the people t continue to supporting APGA to continue it’s good works.

The Governor was accompanied by his wife, Chief Mrs. Ebelechukwu Obiano frontline Party candidates in the area, and others, stakeholders while APGA solidarity songs and anthem featured at the event.
