Chairman, Motor Spare Parts, Nnewi, Sets Up Six Important Committees

The Chairman Motor Spare Parts, Mr. Dennis Ikegwuonu has created six committees to work alongside his administration for the smooth running of the market.

Speaking to Anaedonline.com, Mr. Dennis Ikegwuonu called out the names of the committee and their functions. The committees include; Peace committee which has the responsibility of maintaining peace in the market between traders, this will police interference in issues concerning the traders.

Sanitation Committee, this committee has the duty of making sure that the market environment is kept tidy. The executives are in charge of monitoring every day cleaning in the market.

Another committee is the welfare committee with the responsibility of caring for the welfare of the traders. The chairman emphasized the need for the welfare committee.
“In the case of any misfortune that might befall any active member of the market, the need to help that member may arise. So, the welfare committee will take care of such member and if any active member of this association dies, the welfare committee makes sure that such member is given a befitting condolence visit.”

Mr. Dennis also created the Prayer committee, “this committee will be in charge of routine market prayer arrangements. Task Force committee has the role of maintaining order, collecting of levy from defaulters, helping in car/motorcycle parking and other miscellaneous duties. The last but not least of the committee is the works and electricity committee, they are in charge of all the electrical works inside the market.”

Mr. Dennis urged the traders to co-operate with these committee members and make sure they pay their dues in order to enable them to set off expenses that will arise from time to time and for the smooth running of the market administration.
