Chief Cletus Ibeto, renowned industrialist and entrepreneur, has introduced the ambitious Ibeto Seaport and Terminal project to members of the Nnewi Importers Association. In a landmark event held at Anaedo hall Nnewi, Chief Ibeto outlined his vision to transform the import-export landscape for Nigerians and asked the Nnewi importers to use his seaport and terrminal in importing their various goods for business.

Members of the Nnewi Importers Association expressed enthusiasm for the project, citing its potential to enhance their businesses’ competitiveness and operational efficiency. “This seaport will be a game-changer for us,” remarked one importer, echoing the sentiments of many who foresee reduced transportation costs and faster turnaround times for imports and exports.

The chairman of the Nnewi Automobile Importers Asspciation, Mr. Austin Manue Jideofor (JP), revealed that Ibeto Seaport and Terminal is a prayer answered for importers, as he is one of them who understands their problems.

The NACCIMA President South East Zone, Mr. Humphery Ngonadi, however, admonished the traders on why they should use Ibeto Seaport and Terminal for importation of their goods. Accessibility of the owner and his fidelity virtue are two components that the traders need.

Nigeria philanthropist, businessman, and entrepreneur, Chief Dr. Cletus Ibeto, is set to build a Multi-million naira town hall for his local community, Uruagu Nnewi.

Anaedoonline.ng gathered that Chief Dr. Cletus Ibeto, who is the Chairman and Founder of Ibeto Group, Nigeria’s largest Conglomerate in the East, has promised to demolish the hall currently used in the community, to build a benefitting hall in three (3) months.

According to the design, the ultra-modern multi-million-naira hall project will also house a mini-conference room for Uruagu Nnewi Traditional Council meetings and offices.

Sir Daniel approached the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to criminalize an otherwise a failed civil land transaction in a bid to humiliate, damage, and embarrass Chief Dr. Cletus Ibeto CON and preferred a charge against Chief Dr. Cletus Ibeto and his companies (in Charge No. ID/2149/23) between the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Chief Cletus Ibeto before Honorable Justice I . O IJELU sitting at the Ikeja High Court. The intention was to lure him or Subject him (Ibeto) to court, to face a criminal proceeding that would if time is not taking put him in jail or detention before you know it with a difficult bail condition, thus forcing Chief Ibeto to renegotiate the failed land civil business transaction between him and Dozzy Oil from a weaker perspective.

However, Chief Robert Clarke, SAN, the counsel to Chief Cletus Ibeto CON, petitioned the Honorable Attorney General of Lagos State and called his attention to it and to take over the prosecution that this was based on numerous abuses of court processes by the EFCC, which was being sponsored by Sir Daniel Chukwudozie, as well as the lack of jurisdiction by the trial court to proceed with the charge.

IBETO Vs EFCC: Ibeto’s Fundamental Human Right Case Gets Court Date

In response to the petition, the Lagos State Attorney General wrote to the trial judge expressing their intention to take over the proceedings of the case and look into it.

At the resumed hearing on Monday, January 29, 2024, the trial judge, Justice I. O Ijelu stated that he is no longer in charge of the case and that the case file had been handed over to the Chief Judge of the Court for reassignment based on many petitions against him on the case.

THE GENESIS OF THE DISPUTE BETWEEN CHIEF IBETO AND Dozzy Oil:

This section aims to provide an unbiased account of the failed civil land business transaction between Chief Cletus Ibeto (Ibeto) and Sir Daniel Chukwudozie (Dozzy Oil) and how the EFCC got involved.

It is unfortunate that Sir Chukwudozie has engaged in various propaganda mechanisms using various media channels to cast aspersions on Chief Dr. Cletus Ibeto, in order to destroy his hard-earned reputation and business empire by suggesting to the member of the public through media publications that Chief Dr. Cletus Ibeto defrauded and deceived him in a business transaction.

It is necessary to state here the facts devoid of any propaganda and malicious lies, as has been regularly done by Dozzy Oil and his associates.

HOW IT All STARTED:

Chief Dr. Cletus Ibeto CON, through his company Odoh Holding Ltd, acquired a Mangrove Swamp land in the year 2007, situated along Reclamation Road Layout at Bunda Ama Communities, Port Harcourt City Local Government Area in Rivers State, covering an approximately 22.6536 Hectares of land from the Bundu-Ama Community and Nigeria Shipbuilders Company8 Limited. The land was further subleased by Ibeto to his sister company-Ibeto Energy Development Limited.

Ibeto, sandfilied the Mangrove Swamp empty land in the year 2009, fenced the entire land off and developed part of it without any form of disturbance from anyone.

Ibeto, got all approvals and did registered all documents of the land from the government of Rivers State as appropriate. All in his (Ibeto) possession.

In 2016, Sir Daniel Chukwudozie approached Chief Dr. Cletus Ibeto with the intention to acquire a portion of the land measuring approximately 20.7975 hectares to enable him to construct Petrolium Storage Tanks and sell as part of his business and Ibeto agreed.

BREAKING: Case Between Federal Republic of Nigeria (FRN) and Chief Cletus Ibeto Handed Over to Lagos Attorney General

They agreed on a selling price of N9,500,000,000.00, with a condition that if he Dozzy could be able to pay the sum of N6,759,187,500.00 within eighteen months for the land, that Ibeto will accept it as full and final payment of the land, but If the payment was not made within the specified period, the selling price of N9,500,000,000.00 would apply.

By March 31, 2017, Sir Chukwudozie had only made a partial payment of N3,295,000,000, not even up to 50%. Despite this, Dozzy attempted to take possession of the land and go to change the ownership at the land registry. He claimed to have discovered that Chief Ibeto did not own the land and demanded a refund of his money. Chief Ibeto advised him to exit the transaction and stop attempting to illegally take over the property.

Chief Dr. Cletus Ibeto filed a court action in Suit No: PHC/158/CS/2022 at the State High Court of Rivers State where the land is located and where the transaction took place against Sir Daniel Chukwudozie and his two companies, seeking a declaration that Ibeto Energy Development Ltd is the rightful owner of the land.

In a judgment delivered on March 29, 2023, the State High Court in Port Harcourt Rivers State declared Ibeto Energy Development Ltd as the rightful owner of the land.

DR. CLETUS IBETO; CON: AN INSTITUTION THAT HAS PASSED THE TEST OF TRUISM

Dissatisfied with the decision, Sir Daniel Chukwudozie and his companies lodged an appeal at the Court of Appeal Port Harcourt Division. While the case was pending, Sir Daniel Chukwudozie filed a petition with the EFCC in Lagos to turn a failed civil land transaction into a criminal case. A case that is already pending in the appeal court in Port Harcourt. This led to a charge being brought against Chief Dr. Cletus Ibeto in Charge No. ID/2149/23 between the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Chief Cletus Ibeto.

THE ABUSE OF COURT PROCESSES BY THE EFCC

The facts from the Judgment of the State High Court of Rivers State indicate that Chief Dr Cletus Ibeto, through his company, is entitled to the statutory right of occupancy over the land in question.

Ibeto never discussed plea bargain with EFCC according to their lawyer. Ibeto did not commit any offense in this case. It is Dozzy who failed to make full payment of a transaction he initiated and is supposed to pay the cost of breach of contract.

Ibeto, offered in writing to pay him back the part payments he made to him but Dozzy insisted that he has bought Ibeto’s land from the rightful owners, that Ibeto do no longer have or own land there.

The EFCC’s decision to consider a plea bargain in a criminal court, despite the matter being a land transaction already determined by a court of coordinate jurisdiction, raises questions about the abuse of court processes.

Why would a court in Lagos, a different jurisdiction, entertain a matter that has already been decided by a court in Rivers State? This raises concerns about the motive behind bringing the transaction to a different jurisdiction for criminal charges.

Recall that yesterday Sunday November 20th and today November 21st 2022, some local blogs based in Nnewi Anambra State published a news report that there was a contention between Nigerian Business Mogul, Chief Cletus Ibeto CON and The Igwe of Nnewi on the ownership of the Nkwo Nnewi Triangle.

However, speaking on the development when contacted by AnaedoOnline, Ezeani Chukwunonso Elvis; SSA on Public Affairs to Chief Dr. Cletus Madubugwu Ibeto; OON, CON said that “what transpired at the palace was a stakeholders meeting and at no time was there rancor or an order banning anyone from accessing any part of Nnewi because a father cannot stop a well deserving son from stepping foot on certain parts of His house; the story is the work of merchants of fake news.”

NKWO TRIANGLE: CLETUS IBETO REMAINS A DIGNIFIED SON OF IGWE NNEWI

Speaking further on the issue of the right of access to the portion of land popularly called “Nkwo Triangle”, Ezeani said that “there are some portions of private properties along Nkwo Nnewi Triangle along old onitsha- owerri road which has always been the property of a family and was a subject of litigation, initiated by that family – the Nwagbala family of Uruagu Nnewi, against the Anambra State Government, Nnewi North LGA and other state government agencies due to what they perceived to be an attempt by the then government of Anambra State to disposes them of their asset. As at now, every shred of available evidence including certified true copies of court judgements (not appealed by government) fully vests the ownership title of the portions of land on the Chief Oliver Nwagbaa family and no one else – individual, community or government.”

“There is no known subsisting contest as to ownership of the land hence Chief Dr. Cletus Madubugwu Ibeto; OON, CON currently has absolutely no debate with Nnewi as a town, any individual, organization or government institution regarding ownership of the said land.”

My attention has been drawn to false and misleading reports concorted by mischief agents on Nkwo Nnewi Triangles. It’s pertinent and for record purposes to state the following facts:

1. Nnewi Triangle comprises of big portions of land owned by Nnewi community (which ownership is not in doubt) and few private properties owned by Chief Oliver Nwagbala, upstair building at round-about owned by Chief Edmund Ngonadi(Edmack) and another portion owned by Chief JCN Ikejiuba(Ikeoil) situated along old onitsha – owerri road.

2. For the purpose of clarity, the private properties in this regards are portions of lands housing *Total petrol stations, Dacon petrol stations( formerly Texaco owned by Mr David Onedibe, he’s still alive) DHL office, Federal Mortgage Banks etc* all of which are well known by any grown-up in Nnewi. Let’s cast our memories back to these developed properties before Government’s demolition in 2012 .

3. Recall, during the burial of late Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu, Anambra State Government, cleared and demolished illegal shops in and around Nkwo Nnewi Triangle without tampering with the private properties aforementioned which they demolished months later to commence the construction of a shopping mall.
Consequently, in 2012, owners of the private portions, Nnewi community and Chief Oliver Nwagbala independently sued Anambra State Government, Nnewi North LG under the Chairmanship of Mr Patrick Ubajaka and Anambra State Urban Development Board ( ASUDEB), while Chief Agu Onyeka was PG Nzuko Ora Nnewi .
It may interest you to note that we share same lawyer with Nnewi community in the person of Chief Bar. Olisaeloka Osuigwe since our boundaries are known and properly established. In 2020 (8 years later), a government owned High Court, after reviewing documented evidence of ownership, pronounced a judgement in our favour, effectively ordered the possession of our private portions by its owner–Chief Oliver Nwagbala.
This is a court judgement verifiable by the public. For emphasis, this is independent of the suit filled between Nnewi community and Anambra State Government by our same lawyer since our portions are well-known and has never been in dispute whatsoever.

4. The private portion under current development by Chief Dr. Cletus Ibeto should not be mixed up or confused as portions belonging to Nnewi community. And it’s within his rights to commence development since the property in question has already been sold to him.
Chief Dr. Cletus Ibeto (Omekannaya) is a selfless, straight-forward and distinguished son of Nnewi who is known to stand on the side of truth and justice.

As a stakeholder present in the meeting at Igwe Nnewi’s Palace, it was a peaceful and cordial parley as *THERE WAS NEVER A TIME CHIEF DR CLETUS IBETO INSULTED OUR IGWE* as being propagated by mischief agents. We hereby advise mischief agents and journalists to always engage in investigative journalism and desist from malicious publications and character assassination.

5. In the recent parley with Nnewi community, ownership of the private properties was never in doubt except for unsubstantiated and false claim by one Mr Edwin Ibeanu(Who claims to be the only person alive in such purported agreement) that the private portions belonging to Chief Oliver Nwagbala was sold to Nnewi community in 1956 (by his submission, the Original owner is Nwagbala family but claims purchase by Nnewi without any documented evidence). There is *NO* documented evidence or record with regards to such unfounded transaction either with Nnewi community or with Nwagbala family. *It simply doesn’t exist* .

6. It’s noteworthy that there were established buildings in Dacon filling stations and Total petrol stations, etc (owners still alive) whose owners pay rents to their landlord, Chief Oliver Nwagbala until the demolition by the government. This begs the question : How can one claim purchase of land since 1956 (66 years ago) without title documents or evidence while Nwagbala family have total control including erection of buildings and collections of rents without any form of hindrance? No past PG of Nzuko Ora Nnewi (both dead or alive) or representatives of Nnewi or Government Agencies have ever claimed ownership or collected rents from those private properties before government’s demolition. So why sudden claim and misinformation?.

7. Again, we want to remind the public and to underscore the fact that, *the piece of land housing Dacon filling stations( formerly Texaco) , Total filling stations etc is a separate private portions, separate from portions owned by Nnewi community .* That Anambra State illegally demolished our properties to construct a shopping mall doesn’t mean it has automatically become Nnewi community’s land after we have regained possession.

Following the end of the Nnewi Stakeholders meeting which took place yesterday at the palace grounds, emerging information has put to lie insinuations by some media blogs that frontline Nigerian business man and global philanthropist, Chief Dr. Cletus Madubugwu Ibeto; OON CON engaged the Igwe of Nnewi, Kenneth Orizu III in a war of words yesterday at the royal palace during a meeting.

It was also claimed in the said publication that the war of words was fallout of an order from the Igwe banning Chief Dr. Cletus Ibeto; OON, CON from stepping foot on the popular Nkwo triangle which is passively referred to as the Centre of Nnewi.

It has however been revealed by attendees of the meeting and palace officials that contrary to the fake news being circulated, Chief Dr. Cletus Madubugwu Ibeto; OON, CON was at the stakeholders meeting and in line with existing protocols, gave His opinion on various issues that made up the agenda of the day before jetting off to Europe to attend to His numerous business engagements.

On the issue of the right of access to the portion of land popularly called “Nkwo Triangle”, Ezeani said that “the land wherein Dr. Cletus Ibeto has a legitimate interests as a bonafide citizen of Nigeria, a distinguished son of Anambra State and Nnewi is not part of the famous triangle.”

“The land has always been the property of a family which has in the past been subject of litigation, initiated by that family – the Nwagbara family of Uruagu Nnewi, against the Anambra State Government, Nnewi North LGA and other state government agencies due to what they perceived to be an attempt by the then government of Anambra State to disposes them of their asset. Dr. Cletus Ibeto who holds a B.Sc. (Hon.) Degree in Accountancy from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) currently holds the title “Omekannaya”

It is believed that the Chieftaincy title is part of the arrangement to officially welcome him to his ancestral village, Okpuno Ebenator.

Although still tentative, Chief Ibeto who is currently the Chairman, Governing Council, Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe, Anambra State, will bag this title next month.

Nnewi Billionaire Businessman, Chief Dr. Cletus Madubugwu Ibeto has reunited with his kinsmen.

Anaedoonline.ng learnt that Cletus Ibeto who has always been known and seen as an indigene of Obiofia Umuenem Otolo Nnewi has traced back his origin of birth in Uruagu Nnewi.

Chief Cletus Ibeto and his younger brother, Barr. Ikechukwu Ibeto was reportedly received into his village, Okpuno-Ebenator in Uruagu Nnewi by the Traditional Ruler of the Village, Chief Afam Iloka (Obibuenyi), and some kinsmen with 21-gun salute.

Although it is not yet clear on the particular family he originated from at the time of writing, Okpuno-Ebenator has five families that makes up the kindred, which are Dunoyota, Onuhu, Dunuemeli, Dunuka, and Ezeohaomalu.

In his usual style, Chief Cletus Ibeto is said to have settled over a hundred years Okpuno-Ebenator Community Crisis that has always threatened the existence of the community. He has also facilitated the payment of 2.6M debt that was owed the former Chairman of the Community.

Chief Cletus Ibeto, head of Ibeto Group, the largest business enterprise from Nnewi has began an empowerment program in the community.

It remains to be seen if the Billionaire Businessman will relocate to the community of his birth.

There is Igbo money and then there is Nnewi money, this is a mantra that is common when people are talking about the wealth of the Igbo men.

The Igbo people of South East, Nigeria are known for their penchant in the world of business. Their business acumen is one that has been unrivaled for years amongst other tribes in Nigeria, hence, for every discussion about business and money, the Igbos leads the chart.

1970, the end of the civil war, the Nigerian government passed an unfriendly policy stipulating that all bank accounts belonging to the people of Biafra be seized and 20 pounds given to every Igbo person that has an account. The policy not only rendered every Igbo person penniless, but their properties were also confiscated.

It’s worthy of note that before the civil war, Igbos were already making giant strides in the world. Louis Odumegwu Ojukwu founded the Nigerian Stock Exchange, he was commonly referred to as the first black billionaire. He was not the only affluent Igbo man then, Imagine other people like him who had these before made to start life with just 20 pounds.

Back to zero, with the formidable Igbo hustling spirit, these people started rebuilding from the scratch.

Emzor remains one of the few if not the biggest, long-standing pharmaceutical businesses owned by a Nigerian of Igbo descent to this day. From a modest beginning with four products in 1987, they now manufacture over 120 products across analgesic, anti-malaria, vitamin/haematinics / multivitamin supplement, anthelmintic, antibiotics, and therapeutic categories. Christopher Ubosi is an Nsukka born broadcaster, quantity surveyor, and project manager. He is the managing director of Megalectrics limited the owners of Beat FM.

Ibeto Group of Companies

The Ibeto Group commenced business in the cement sector in 1997 with the importation of ship-loads of bagged Portland cement through the Apapa ports. The company was conceived in 2001 when the federal government banned the importation of cement. The company started producing bagged cement at its terminal in June 2005 before its foreclosure in November 2005.

The chairman of CEO Ibeto Group, Sir Cletus Ibeto delved into the cement sector and conquered. His terminal is an ultra-modern plant with a flat storage capacity of 50,000 metric tons and a production capacity of 1,500,000 tons per annum. Coscharis Group

Coscharis Group was born in 1977 with a modest beginning of importation and distribution of genuine automotive spare parts, accessories of Japanese vehicles, and several kinds of automobile-related products. This would serve as the foundation for which Coscharis would consolidate its automobile business.

It grew to become the sole representative of the BMW brand in Nigeria. Thereafter it expanded to great brands like Jaguar Landrover, Ford, Mini, Morris Garages, and finally the luxurious Rolls-Royce brand bringing them into the Nigerian market with Coscharis as the second franchise in the whole of Africa.

Tonimas Group Limited

Tonimas group revolutionized the Chain gas station business with its first oil business in Aba Abia state. It opened up various gas stations under its brand name Tonimas oil and gas limited. He was a pump attendant at Total filling station before going ahead to set up his starting from the south-east. He became the first indigenous chain gas station owned by an Igbo man in the southeast.

The late Chief (Dr.) Anthony Obiagboso Enukeme was the founder, Chairman, and Managing Director of Tonimas Nigeria Limited. At the time of his death, he was estimated to worth over 200 million dollars.

The organizers presented awards to men and women that have distinguished themselves in different fields of endeavour.

Chief Dr. Cletus Mmadubugwu Ibeto

As such, we will daily bring you a detailed biography of each of these individuals, starting with one of Nigeria’s richest individual Dr. Cletus Ibeto aka “Omekannaya.”

Chief Dr. Cletus Mmadubugwu Ibeto was born in Nnewi, Anambra state, Nigeria, on November 6th, 1952.

On January 22, 1966, at age of 13, his education ambition was thwarted because of his fathers change of mind to send him to learn trade instead, so his father sent him off to Mr. John Akamelu in Onitsha.

His time as an apprentice with his master was filled with a thorough study of the trade and inculcation of sheer brilliance in him, which made him a formidable competitor in the market.

At the age of 17, his apprenticeship was shortened by the civil war; he was forced to join the army.

After the war, Cletus Ibeto decided to pursue his dreams of becoming a successful trader once again. To raise capital for his business, one of his elder brothers, Louis, gave him a leather handbag and a round neck suit which Ibeto sold along with a packet of APC tablets he picked up at an evacuated hospital.

Foray Into Business

Just like many Nnewi Billionaires and Millionaires, Cletus Ibeto started out from Nkwo Nnewi Market as a spare parts trader, after spending some time as an apprentice in the motor parts business. Thereafter through the dint of hard work and perseverance, he ventured into importation of spare parts.

His Turning Point

The government of President Shehu Shagari triggered the big break for Cletus Ibeto. At the time, a policy in the country enabled the importation of goods without an import license. This period helped Ibeto amass a great deal of fortune, which he subsequently put back into his business to grow it sporadically till the import licenses were then reintroduced.

With the new development and his short quick success, he was able to secure an import license worth 3 Million Naira, at a time when the value of a dollar was equal to 68 kobo.

This unexpected situation gave Cletus Ibeto an exceptional edge.

Venture into Manufacturing

In March 1988, Ibeto stopped direct importation of lead-acid automotive battery and plastic vehicle accessories after completing his factory in Nnewi, Union Autoparts Manufacturing Co. Ltd

This Company was incorporated on 2nd June 1987 and is today one of the major players in automotive lead-acid battery manufacturers in Nigeria. It is engaged in complete manufacturing of first-class quality, completely dry-charged Union brand motor and motorcycle batteries of all capacities in addition to auto spare parts and accessories such as auto lamps, front and rear light covers, fan blades, front grilles, wheel covers, reflectors, brake pads and linings, clutch facings and clutch fibers, brake shoes kits, PVC conduit fittings and other plastic products. It also produces locally from its lead and aluminum smelting plant, all the lead and aluminum required forits operations. It has the capacity to produce, annually, the following items: 300,000 units of lead/acid batteries, 120,000 units of sealed maintenance-free batteries, 5,500 tons of lead, 500 tons of accessories and 1,500 tons of friction parts.

Union Auto-parts Manufacturing Co. Ltd has been exporting lead to customers in Europe, Asia and Africa since 1991.

On October 2nd, 1996, Ibeto setup another manufacturing company called Ibeto Petrochemical Industries Limited; which manufactures oil lubricants and other various petroleum products both for local and international trade. The company has the largest liquid storage facility for petroleum products in Nigeria, with a large capacity to store over 60,000 metric tons, and is located at the Apapa Warf and the Ibru Jetty Complex in Lagos, Nigeria.

Ibeto Petrochemical Industries Limited is licensed by the Department of Petroleum Resources to undertake the blending of oil lubricants and the production of various types of petroleum products for local and international markets. The Blending Plant is located at Nnewi, Anambra State.

Since January 1999, the Company has been delivering its blended lube products to the West, East and Central African markets. The Company also procures and trades in a range of petroleum products like Base oil (Bright Stock, etc) and Automotive Gas Oil. In August 2012, this company began to export Nigerian Crude Oil.

How He Ventured Into Cement Business

The Ibeto Group commenced business in the cement sector in 1997 with the importation of shiploads of bagged Portland cement through the Apapa ports.

The Ibeto Cement Company Ltd was conceived in 2001 following the Federal Government ban of the importation of cement in bags and the institution of a new policy of bulk importation and local bagging.

Located in Bundu-Ama, Port-Harcourt, Rivers State, Ibeto cement started producing bagged cements at its Bagging Terminal in June 2005. The Terminal is an ultra-modern bagging plant with a Flat-storage capacity of 50,000 metric tons and a production capacity of 1,500,000 tons per annum which translates to a production capacity of not less than 6,000 metric tons per day. It has two (2) production lines, each with a capacity of 2700 of 50kg bags per hour or designed total production capacity of 5400 of 50kg bags per hour. This means that nine (9) trucks of 600 bags each will be loaded every hour. It also has a third production line for big bags of 1500 kilograms, popularly known as the Big Bag Plant and yet a fourth production line for Bulk Cement powder which is loaded on special cement trucks fitted with tanks and discharge pumps.

A modern Jetty that can take in ships of over 190 meters in length with a sophisticated Ship-Unloader was constructed at the waterfront as an integral part of the facilities.

In further response to the Federal Government’s call for a total shift from mere ‘bagging’ to actual production of cement locally, The Ibeto Group has started work on a 5-million tonnes per annum Cement Manufacturing Plant in Effium, Ebonyi State.

EASTERN BULKCEM COMPANY LTD

This is a subsidiary of Ibeto Cement Company Limited and is also engaged in the business of importation of bulk cement and bagging of same in its factory premises in Rumuolumeni waterfront, Rivers State. This company also owns 60% of Nigeria Cement Company Plc (NIGERCEM), Nkalagu, Ebonyi State. This situation has empowered Ibeto Cement to commence the expeditious resuscitation of the old Nigercem plant and the construction of a brand new dry-process plant.

In 2018, IBETO Cement Company Limited acquired of Century Petroleum Corporation, a United States (US) publicly traded petroleum exploration and Production Company.

Dr. Cletus Ibeto is a recipient of the Anaedoonline Excellence Award.
