Veteran Nollywood actor, Hanks Anuku, has revealed that he has been jobless for several years. This admission comes in response to a viral video showing the actor clowning at a gas station in Delta State.
In a video message circulating on social media, Anuku expressed his current predicament, stating that despite his status as a legend in the entertainment industry, he has struggled to make ends meet.
Anuku took the opportunity to appeal to the Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori, and his fans for support. He acknowledged his contributions to the country and emphasized the challenges he has faced in securing employment.
He said, “I have worked for this country. I have attained the height of being a legend. But I’ve had no job for, God knows, how many years. And I expect that Nigerians will also know that I did it all for them.”
Anuku’s plea for assistance reflects the struggles that some veterans in the entertainment industry may face, underscoring the need for support systems and recognition of their contributions to the arts.
