No fewer than 3,000 members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the weekend, dumped the party for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

Among the personalities who defected to APGA was one of the key founding fathers of the United States of America (USA) chapter of the PDP, Dr Charles Maduka.

Maduka, a notable US-based attorney and legal adviser to many organisations in USA, was formerly welcomed into the APGA family by former Commissioner for Information and Culture in Anambra state, Chief Maja Umeh.

Addressing party faithful in Amichi, Nnewi South council area, Umeh described Maduka as a champion for promoting the successes of Gov Willie Obiano’s political support group –Akpokuedike Global and the APGA in the USA.

He commended the party members, elective offices as well as the aspirants, saying he was not keen to contest for any office, in order to assist in sustaining equitable governance in the state and promoting the party beyond the State.
