A lady who identified herself as Efeisi Clifford Umuanogho, has recently released a video online which is stirring controversy.
In the said video, the lady talked heartily to the youths and people of Urhobo in general. It is believed by the agitators for the Biafran Republic that some parts of Delta state have a nonchalant attitude towards the Biafra struggle even after the group has counted them part of their prospective sovereign state.
However, in a bid to drive home her point, she made some references to the seemingly obvious segregation of the south easterners and the Biafran agitators especially. Some of the delicate areas she touched were the state of unemployment which according to her is prevalent in the southern zone, where a graduate is left alone to fight their way free from poverty and joblessness, with apparently no weapon to fight that at their disposal.
This particular situation, as she stated in the video prompts the shameful attempts of youths and graduates to migrate illegally out of the country; either through the sea or desert, while their northern counterparts occupy top key positions in the nation as an advantage of being in power.
She equally reminded the youths of the poor state of their soil in Delta, the pollution, due to the high dominance of crude oil in that region, making it impossible for cultivation and some other human activities. She also went ahead to remind her people that the source of the nation’s wealth and resources is richly domiciled in their state, making their state the economic base of the nation, yet, little or nothing is done for them as compensation. Meanwhile on the contrary ‘their own’ natural resources are ‘stolen’ and used to develop the northern parts of the country, turning their youths to slaves and second class citizens.
