A faction of the Ohaneze Youths has said the organization did not endorse Atiku/Obi joint ticket for the 2019 Presidential Election.
Okey Nwachukwu, a factional Deputy National Publicity Secretary of Ohaneze Ndigbo Youths said whatever that is coming in the form of endorsement from the body should be regarded as a scam; and should not be taken serious.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Umuahia, the Abia State capital, Nwachukwu called on Nigerians to disregard the purported endorsement.
According to him, it was the handiwork of impostors, using the name of Ohanaeze Ndigbo for dubious purposes.

He also reminded the public that the youth group was never consulted on the choice of Obi as running mate, hence, there was no way they could have gone ahead to endorse the duo.
“This is the handiwork of impostors, whom we demand their arrest. We are open to all presidential candidates from all political parties, including the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for consultations, insofar as Igbo interest will be protected,” part of the statement read.
